Soundtrack Demos.
Traditionally. I was trained as an audio engineer. Music has been a thread woven throughout my whole life and when I did finally decide to attend post-secondary, I chose to do a music degree, and I had the opportunity to specialize in digital production.
This was a unique program because rather than a technical diploma in one of those technical audio schools (such as the Trebas Insitute or something similar) I was able to fulfill the requirements to earn a Bachelors Degree in Music. But rather than Majoring in an instrument or composition... I majored in Digital Production. I also pursued a Masters degree, but was not able to finish due to some difficult life events (read: Divorce). Maybe someday I'll be able to finish it.....
Anyway. One advantage of my program is that in addition to learning how to run a studio, and record/mix/master audio. I've also been trained in the same academic regimen that traditional music majors did, including Music Theory, Composition, Aural skills, and classical history.
BUT. I did a lot of bad music before I learned how to do it properly, and some of it is linked in this post!
I joined a mod team in 2007 to develop a Half Life 2 mod, that never got anywhere, and some of this audio I had written for that project back then, and is still floating around in demo form on my hard drive. So I've decided to pushblish it to Soundcloud as a way to share it as another part of my iterative process.
I'd love to hear your feedback, but before you do... please realize I know these aren't very good from a production standpoint. They're demos. And I'll be taking my ideas from them and starting over. re-recording them, and fashioning them to fit Keen Hell.
Sorry, itch.io doesn't support HTML embed code in devlogs yet. so you'll have to click the link. I know.. so inconvenient right? :P

What if Phillip K. Dick and Richard Morgan wrote the premise for Stardew Valley?
