It's okay (and fun) to suck at stuff.

As I continue to work on the skills I need to develop these games, I get more and more impressed with the fact that I don't currently have a high level of skill in many of these forms of asset creation.  I'm excited to get to the point where I can go crazy with the audio, which is my specialty, but I am really enjoying the process.

I feel like I am going to name drop him many times over the course of my entire career, but in his acceptance speech at the Twitch Awards, Thor Hall said:

"You don't have to make an amazing game, you just have to make your game. Make it bad. It's okay. And then make a better one, and just keep doing it."

I know i"m getting mushy about this, but these words are everything to a washed up 40 year old who never truly pursued his dreams because of whatever life circumstance.

Life has me pretty down right now, but working on these awful little tutorial scenes and bad pixel art is giving me back my life and making me feel young.
